iMessage

Text Sangria from your iPhone, iPad or Mac and shop by message.

Text Sangria like you'd text a friend who runs errands for you: say what you want, it finds options, you pick one, it buys it.

iMessage only — not SMS

Sangria replies over iMessage and nothing else. Anything arriving as a green-bubble SMS or RCS text is turned away, every time. You'll get a note explaining why, but only once in a while: keep texting from the same green thread and Sangria goes quiet rather than repeating itself. Send from an iPhone, iPad or Mac with iMessage switched on. On Android, use Telegram instead.

Connect

+1 (628) 287-3329

  1. Scan the code above with your phone, or tap Open in Messages if you're already on the device you'll text from.

  2. Send the line a message. It replies with a Connect Sangria link.

  3. Sign in with your Sangria account, then confirm that this is the conversation you want connected. The confirm screen names the account it's about to link, so check it before continuing — whoever holds that conversation can spend from it.

  4. Add your delivery address and phone number if you haven't already. Messages has no link back into a conversation, so when setup finishes you switch back to the Messages app yourself — Sangria has already said hello there.

Once connected, the chat can find products from a description or a link you paste, buy one you've approved, check your balance, list your orders, and review your shipping setup. It can also top up your credits — starting a top-up emails a code to your account address, and you paste it back into the chat to finish. Messaging apps covers the whole set.

It won't buy anything until you've said yes to a specific product at a stated price. Every match comes back with the item price, the estimated tax, and the estimated total, and the total is what your credits are charged. A quote stays valid for about 45 minutes; if you take longer to decide, the chat searches again for a fresh price before buying.

Spend limits

Connecting a chat creates a chat agent on your account with limits already set: $60 per day and $200 per month, in your account's currency. You can change them any time from your dashboard. Spend limits covers how the windows are counted.

Disconnecting

Disconnect a conversation from your dashboard. It removes that conversation only and leaves any other connected chats working.

Whoever holds a connected conversation can spend from your account, so disconnect one you no longer control — including if you give up the device it's on.

If something goes wrong

Sangria isn't replying at all. Check the conversation is blue, not green. A green bubble means it went out as SMS, which Sangria doesn't answer. Turn on iMessage in Settings and send again.

The chat says it was disconnected. Send it another message. It replies with a Reconnect Sangria link that puts the conversation back where it was.

The connect link expired, or the conversation is already linked elsewhere. Text the line again for a fresh link. There's no command to type — any message will do. A conversation connects to one Sangria account at a time; if it's linked to another, disconnect it from that account's dashboard first, then connect again.
